BBQ Cedar Plank Salmon


Are you looking to grill something other than the usually burgers and dogs this summer? Then your BBQ's will never be the same after you try this amazing Cedar Plank Salmon with Spicy Roosters Organic BBQ Blend.


  • Wild Sockeye Salmon 6oz portions
  • Spicy Rooster Organic BBQ Blend 1 Tablespoon per portion
  • Whole Grain Mustard 1 teaspoon per ounce
  • Cedar Plank (avg 2-3 portions per plank)


Soak cedar plank in water for 2 hours, then drain. Lay the salmon skin-side down on the cedar plank and carefully spread the mustard over the top and sides. Sprinkle Spicy Rooster BBQ Blend over the mustard and gently pat down.

Set grill for indirect grilling and heat to medium-high. Place the cedar plank on the grill away from the heat. Cover the grill and cook until cooked through, around 20 to 30 minutes. The internal temperature should read a minimum of 135°.

(You may also cook cedar plank in convection oven at 350° for 20-30 minutes until internal temperature reaches minimum of 135°.)

Optional, Grill will sliced lemons and garnish with diced scallions.
