A Little Spring Green
Spring is only a few days away so why not get a jump on your spring greens with this delicious recipe.
At Spicy Rooster we want to make it easier for you to enjoy great food! It doesn’t get much easier than Grilled Asparagus. (This recipe is all organic as well)
A little about this green veggie...
Abundant in vitamin K (which you need for blood clotting, heart and bone health, cancer prevention, and other functions), as well as copper, selenium, B vitamins and many other important nutrients. Asparagus can improve your overall health!
What you need:
1 Bunch of Organic Asparagus
2 T Organic Olive Oil
2 Teaspoons Spicy Rooster Organic Everything Spice Blend
1. Preheat Grill (It is always important when grilling to let your grill get hot before applying your items to the grilling surface, this helps prevent sticking, and also help give you those desired grill marks).
2. Time to Prep (trim your Asparagus ends) Phew, that was tough.
3. Mix all ingredients together, place on a hot grill for 3-5 minutes until fork tender. Make sure not to overcook; should be bright green and a little bendy, but not “wilty”.
TIP: For an added finish squeeze fresh lemon (or even grilled lemon) over the top.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get easier, it can! If you don’t feel like firing up the grill (or even the grill pan) simply toss these spring everything together on a sheet pan and put in the oven at 400° for about 6 minutes (until fork tender, don’t overcook so keep an eye on them after
